What does a major renovation include?

How to do a major overhaul correctly?

  • Dismantling works. Everything that needs to be replaced is eliminated. As a rule, these are old coatings, plumbing, pipes, walls are also washed and construction waste is removed.
  • Installation of electrical wiring. Here you will need a diagram of the location of electrical points in the apartment.
  • Leveling internal surfaces. The process includes puttying, priming, plastering. Screed is applied to the floors if necessary.
  • Installation of pipes for heating, water supply, sewerage systems.
  • Installation of plasterboard structures. It is carried out in accordance with the design plan drawn up in advance.
  • Cleaning work. These include finishing with wallpaper and tiles, painting, installing a set of doors, etc.

Experts advise planning your work so that it occurs in the direction from the outer rooms to the corridor or hallway. Repair processes begin from the top - the ceiling is finished first. Next you should gradually go down.

When replacing electrical wiring, the walls can be chipped, after which plastering is required. In this case, it makes sense to think about increasing the level of thermal insulation in advance.
