As for fresh approaches to the design of the territory, in this case, five current styles of landscape design can be distinguished

1. Classic

It is also regular or French. It is applicable to large spaces, the relief of which is flat or slightly inclined. The main elements included in it are:

  • simplicity of form with right angles and lines;
  • precise balance of proportions;
  • symmetry along the axis;
  • stable design of objects, determining their cohesion;
  • strength of design components - paths, hedges, fences.

The classical direction of landscape design provides for the observance of a restrained color scheme. As a rule, this is the predominance of white and light shades.

2. Eco-style in landscape design

Compliance with the natural style is the use of environmentally friendly materials or recycled raw materials. The main emphasis is on eco-friendly trends and the rejection of what can harm the environment. The signs of this trend are:

  • naturalness of the forms and compositions used;
  • mixed border flower beds, where there are certainly local plants;
  • a large number of walking paths.

The use of modern trends in landscaping is another important point in arranging an eco-style in the garden.

3. Alpine

This type of design is based on the illusion of high-mountain landscapes. It can be implemented in large and small areas, providing for the planting of unpretentious and hardy plants. This style does not always accept innovations in landscape architecture, characterized by the following features:

  • lack of symmetry in the arrangement of elements;
  • arrangement of container plantings with grass and flowers;
  • use of coniferous planting material.

Simple wooden structures and cascading ponds are also used for this style.

4. Minimalism in landscape design

The features of this direction are distinguished by maximum simplicity and the use of high-tech achievements. New ideas for the garden are used for arrangement, providing for the following style features:

  • correct geometric shape of the lawn and flower beds;
  • use of unpretentious plants for functional landscaping;
  • fashionable landscaping elements in white and cold tones.

Also, minimalism in the garden involves outdoor furniture made of practical materials - metal and plastic.

5. Country

Country style in a modern version is focused on natural objects and classic building materials. The following signs indicate compliance with this trend:

Flowerbeds and lawns with bright flowers and ornamental grasses that do not require special care;

  • planting fruit and berry trees and bushes;
  • creation of a vegetable garden with beds;
  • good garden furniture, made mainly of wood.

An excellent addition to the country style are elements of rural life - benches, haystacks or bales of hay, a cart, clay pots, etc.
