What is a frame house

The very concept of a frame house should be taken literally. The building is a structure based on a frame, supplemented by materials already prepared for installation. Walls are installed using sheet or molding materials - the type of structure depends on their choice. They are attached inside and outside the frame part. The space between the sheets is filled with insulation in the form of foam, mineral wool, polystyrene. The frame can be either wooden or metal.

Frame houses can be built directly on the site, their installation does not require the installation of a complex foundation. The design feature allows you to get the following advantages:

  • resistance to deformation;
  • high construction rates - you can install a house in literally 2 months;
  • minimal financial costs for solving complex problems;
  • energy efficiency - the tightness of the structure allows you to quickly warm up the room, which significantly reduces heating bills;
  • lightweight base that does not weigh down the foundation;
  • no need to do external finishing.

Frame houses are built quickly and easily. Standard installation steps include several stages. The foundation is usually made in the form of a strip or on piles. Then comes the installation of the frame and its cladding with selected materials. The next stages are the construction of the roof and installation of floors. The finishing touches are the installation of vapor barrier, insulation, interior finishing. You can move into such houses immediately, since they do not shrink.

What types of frame houses are there: popular options

The types of buildings provide for the features of using specific methods. Among the frame construction technologies that are most popular, the following can be noted:

Frame-panel method

This method of construction is considered the fastest. The panels are manufactured at the plant and after delivery to the installation site, they are quickly assembled into a structure. Each wall is carefully calculated at the plant, insulated and covered with materials.

The delivery of such blocks requires the use of special equipment. The redevelopment of the building is not provided for, so houses using this technology are typical. The assembly of house components must be carried out by experienced professionals - otherwise no one will guarantee the quality and safety of operation of such a building.

Frame-frame method

This technology also involves the use of components prepared at the factory. However, they are assembled directly at the construction site. After the structure is completed, it is insulated and sheathed.

In this case, you can save on delivery and special equipment. However, the construction process on the site will be longer. But at the same time, it is possible to make some edits and changes at the construction stage.

In both situations, the cost of building a house will be approximately the same. The surface of the sheathing materials, if necessary, can be used without additional processing, which allows you to significantly reduce the cost of finishing.
